Specific

A friend of mine has been having a lot of trouble on their job lately. I asked the question, what are your prayers? Then it came to them they aren't praying specifically, yet wanting specific things to happen. I just feel like we serve a specific god who answers specific prayers. The word says "ask & we shall receive."

Let's allow our specific request be know to God, praise him in advance & consider those things already done!

My apple tree

Yesterday at church the a comparison between women & apple trees was made.

Women are like apple trees, the BEST ones are at the top!

When relating this statement to real life we see how a lot of great women are single & wonder what is the reason. Well who really wants to take the extra effort to get that awesome apple at the top of the tree when those other apples are so reachable (yes, some tarnished, but convenient.) Ladies, don't move your apple to the bottom of the tree, remain at the top & know your Boaz is soon to come. 

When relating the apple tree analogy to other thing in life we think about the goals we want to achieve (our visions). The goals we want to get to are at the top of the tree, yet some of us want to settle for "reachable" goals in which those usually weren't our original plans. Don't allow your vision(s) to go in vain simply because you are willing to keep climbing to the top. Keep climbing, you will make it. Someone once said: "In order to get things in life you've never had you must do things you've got to do things you've never done!"


Another apple tree analogy comes from my good friend Erykah Badu. Her song Appletree she made a lot of really powerful statements:

Half sleep blogging

Seriously though I have no idea where to begin speaking on the day today has been...

Went to the Whole Foods Market, to the mall & then it all happened...My car battery died! I was on the way to a concert with a friend & literally 2 blocks from the park my car shut down. I called everyone who I could think of, flagged random people down to help & yet remained helpless. Someone eventually came to give my car a jump start, I went to the next light & the car died in at the light of a busy intersection. Most people would have panicked, but I was chilling. :-) My step-dad came & saved the day (night). Oh yeah the battery died two more times on the way home, SMH!

Tomorrow will be a lot better.

Fridays!

It was a LONG dayyyy today! Fridays are my school free days, so that means work all day for me. Oh yeah today was pay day :-)

Had dinner (soup & salad) with my best friend. She's awesome! It's really a great feeling when you can shard the goodness of the Lord with those near & dear to you & they can relate because they know a little of what you've been through.

Watch what happens when you're faithful

India.Arie has a song titled "God is Real" I probably listened to it about 10times today. Not to be too personal, however my car note is due (tomorrow) and I didn't really know how I was going to pay the entire amount. One thing about me is I am not at all a worrier, because I KNOW who I belong to! Long story short, I started a new job about two weeks ago (only on weekends) I didn't even almost know what my paycheck was going to be & checked the website (to view my check stub) and the check was my car note plus spending money! And to top it all off I get another paycheck from another job I have on Friday.

Can't nooobody tell me God isn't real!

Whew Lawd!

What day! Okay so the lemonade detox was a success this morning, then I ended up putting a little twist on the detox rather than starving myself. It's a little much to explain, but making a long story short it'll be your average diet with a salt flush each morning. No white (bread, pasta, potatoes, etc.), no sweets, no sodas, only natural juices (my current favorite is Naked Mango Juice) and of course a daily workout routine.

I think this route will be a lot more successful versus starvation.

8/24 morning

Okay, so this morning I started my lemonade diet/detox. I look on youtube sometimes for encouragement & I found this video to be my theme song for this healthy journey I'm beginning to take, enjoy.

Yup, just as promised I'm doing a daily update.

Not too much happened today considering I didn't have school. I went to work this morning at the wonderful Victorious Kidz Academy! This daycare is an amazing childcare center. Located in Douglasville, GA. Click the link and check it out for yourself. Then I went to visit a family friend, who is absolutely AMAZING!

Who really knows me?

Anyone who REALLY knows me know my LOVE for tea. I'm literally a tea freak! I drink tea all year round & NEVER get bored with it. My favorite right now is Tazo Passion Tea.

For Christmas the best gift would be a gift card to Starbucks, Teavana, or my favorite place to drink tea & eat scones, Seven Springs.

Quick update

I recently taught myself how to straighten my own hair. This will save be about $80 a month, Thank God!

I have a new job

I feel like my spiritual relationship has increased

I'm taking GRE twice next month in hope of scoring 1000 or better so I can go to USF (University of South Florida, Tampa)  I just feel like I need to finish my life by the water. LOL

I'm taking a Social Media class this semester in which  am SUPER excited about, so I will be maintain my blog a lot better now. I tried (and still trying) Tumblr I like this site a little better though. My plan is to keep up both, hopefully.

I have a few plans in the works that might shock some people. I'll blog about them as it happens

YAY ME!

I've officially reached senior status at UWG and I'm super excited! I plan on blogging everyday up until graduation day, April 28, 2012. Wish me luck on this journey.
