"Our live is like a vapor", said my good friend Mirra, who frequently keeps me partially sane these days.
I received some terrible news today about a young lady I literally grew up with. She was the sweetest person I've ever encountered, always smiling and never a rude person to her friends nor anyone I can name. She was a very active student while attending UWG & recently gotten a teaching job which is an amazing accomplishment during these tough economic times.
Well some stories aren't always like Disney (with a happy ending). Long story short, UWG had homecoming & she come to celebrate with old friends, was drinking, driving, hit & killed a young guy driving a motorcycle. She was charged with DUI, failure to yield & vehicular homicide according to the AJC .
When I first heard the story I didn't think it was the girl I knew I just though it was someone else who had the same name, but sure enough I found out it was my childhood friend. The situation is soooooooo sad (for all parties involved). I'm still in shock at the details of the accident.
We MUST remain prayerful! We MUST think about our actions prior to doing somethings! Most importantly we CANNOT take life for granted!
I pray for Faith, her family & friends. I pray for the victim's family & friends. I pray for mercy to be on both parties involved. I pray that God's glory shines in the mist of all of this madness.
